We had a beautiful day here in California today. So off we went for a walk in the park with the grands.

There is a path around the lake that is a perfect walk. Lots of beautiful scenery and wildlife.

A little snow on the mountains all around.

In daily life we must see that it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratefulness that makes us happy.

Life Is Grande

 

 

..with the grandchildren!

This is an area that I don’t show very often. This is a little area we have carved out for the grandchildren to play. They have their little kitchen set and table and chairs.

We have taken some time lately to spend with the grandchildren. We were going to make new bedding for their doll beds, but we ended up making pillows for their own beds. Well Isaiah decided that he needed to have a new pillow as well. His mom tried to explain that the pillows were for the girls dolls, and he quickly added real quietly “but I have my little doggy  and stuffed animals that need a bed too”. Couldn’t argue with that! So we dug out the box of  fabric and found some  ”boyish” fabric for him. It’s a good thing that he was ok with some Americana prints. Layla chose Strawberry Shortcake. She has the Strawberry Shortcake sheets on her bed that belonged to her mom  when she was her age, so the new pillow will fit right in.

 

Today was Sophia’s turn(we couldn't have them here to do this all together, we just wouldn’t have accomplished any thing!!)

She is so stylin!

And I had to share little Ashlyn! She is getting so big!

While business has been slow, we have taken some time to create some new items for the business. This is a thermostat cover, or can also be used as a door bell cover as well.

 

Now we have two different styles to  choose from.

We have an open house coming up at the end of the month at the “new store” and need a few more things to fill it with. We have made this new dry sink for the store and really like how it turned out.
