Wow!!! So much going on! It has been a busy couple of weeks. Our daughter, son-in-law and her family are all moved in, here, just a few minutes away from us. It has been a busy time for them getting all moved in, and Josh starting his new job. It is such a joy to have all of the children and grandchildren close by now. Such a blessing at this thankful time of year.

So many things to be thankful for….
First a big thank you to Christine over at Preferably Prim for the generous giveaway that she hosted and to her cute little daughter for picking my name!!
Included in the package (all the way from Ireland) was a rectangular penny mat, Secondly was this nicely stitched, cute little pinkeep.
And thirdly, a wool candy corn makedo on an antique bobbin with applique cat, pumpkin, moon and stars~ Such a wonderful and generous giveaway. Thank you again Christine. It is so nice to meet such nice people in the blogging world.

I have had several requests for my recipe for minestrone soup. This is such and easy meal and so good for you as well. So easy that my son made this meal for us this week, with only a little verbal help from mom. He also made the corn bread (Jiffy) and brought some to his girlfriend who was feeling a little under the weather. (I guess I did something right raising my children. lol)
Minestrone soup
(so easy)
Jar of Ragu Chunky mushroom and green pepper spaghetti sauce
1 can each of the following: be sure to add ALL juice from all cans!!
veg-all, corn, carrots, peas, French cut green beans, garbanzo beans, red kidney beans (you can also add any and all vegetables that you like. Any leftovers from the fridge, or frozen- I sometimes add frozen green beans, along with broccoli or cauliflower
1/2 cup of your favorite pasta- I use :
Here is the simple part-
In a large pan combine all cans of veggies along with ALL of the juices, half of the sauce and bring to a boil. Add the pasta and cook to your liking. Add remaining sauce and serve. I always serve with cornbread. Simple jiffy cornbread mix.
The corn muffins and vegetables along with the beans make a complete protein in the body.
Enjoy!!!!
