Where does the time go??

Fall…. a glorious time of year with such a beautiful array of colors and scents. We plan ahead, getting things in order to enjoy this awesome season. We can’t wait for the cooler weather, for a chill in the air so we can enjoy a bonfire, and some nice warm apple cider or hot chocolate. We anticipate the changing leaves, the colors in red, gold, and orange. The flowers of fall with their hardiness, able to withstand the cool nights. A time to get back into your kitchen and whip up those fall meals that we have thought about all summer long. To bring out the crockpot and make a big pot of stew to warm your bones. Football ………ok, we will quickly skip over that topic.

Well we all want to get back to some kind of routine. We are inside our homes more as the daylight gets shorter, and that means we need to decorate a little and make things homey.

Time is precious!

…….Then something comes along and takes the wind out of your sail.

Hubby has been dealing with pneumonia for over a month now. He is on his second round of antibiotics. He has been to Dr appointments, chest x-rays, TB test, quarantines til he got the results. I would appreciate your prayers for a full recovery and soon. I am so impatient with things like this. It is hard to watch someone deal with health issues and not be able to help.

~Along with all of that today is our 32nd Anniversary!!

Not sure what the day will hold but all we are doing is taking one day at a time.

Fall here is a little slow coming. The weather is still HOT, the temps this weekend will be around 103. I am so waiting and wanting some cool weather. Maybe next month. Til then I am tricking the senses, lighting clove candles, taking out the candles and decorating for fall anyway. Hopefully the pumpkins outside won’t “cook” in this heat. Thanks for stopping by and visiting.

Blessings~Sara

"The snapping of pitch from a burning log,
The faint scent of pine filling the room.
Flames leaping about as if it were a ballet
Performing for its audience.
The soft, comforting glow of candlelight,
Bringing with it serenity and quiet thoughts."
