Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice……; and more winners

Any day that I get to spend with my children and grandchildren is a good day. Well today I got to spend the day with my daughters doing girly stuff!! How fun!!! My daughter Amber along with some friends held a “surprise” baby shower for my oldest daughter Lizabeth today.

Lots of fun and games,

good friends and family

yummy food,

and so many cute little girl gifts.

It was so much fun designing something for our new little granddaughter. (We  can do lots  of different style furniture and such)

This will be our fourth grandchild and the first time that we live near our children to be able to help out and watch the baby grow. With the other grandchildren we lived on the other coast or four hours away. I was able to go stay a few days and then didn’t see them sometimes for a few months.

I have already had orders for some of these Acorn Tree Gatherings. I won’t have many this year, so if you are thinking about it at all, please email me and let me know soon. If you would like me to hold one for you for a few weeks I can do that, I just need to know soon.

The gathering will include the two foot tree with seven wax acorn ornaments(approx 3”) along with a stenciled box.The boxes will vary. I will have a photo of all of the choices later this week. The price of the Acorn Tree Gathering is $75 plus travel.

I have heard from Sandi and her box of goodies will be on it’s way to her soon! As promised in my last giveaway post, I have chosen two more people for a surprise. The winners are Shirlee and Betsy!! Please email me with your address. If I don’t hear from them in 48 hours I will pick another. Thank you all again for your friendship! I am truly blessed. ~Sara

The circle of life; so thankful and a giveaway winner…..

Life  is funny sometimes. We go through our days, weeks, years, planning, changing, growing, thinking we are doing something different than the generation before us. Then we realize, what goes around comes around. Hairstyles come and go out of style, clothing fads, raising a new generation. We look in the mirror and we are becoming our Mother’s, our children are growing up and becoming more like us(even though they would never admit it).

The beginning of a new school year, always has us thinking and changing. What will we do different this year. A new start, a new beginning a chance to start fresh.

Lot’s of reminiscing this week. Our oldest granddaughter started kindergarten this week. Thoughts of our own children starting school for the first time flood through. The emotions of sending a child off for the whole day away from you. You wonder, have I equipped them to take on this big world, to survive out there without us. I was reminded of that this week as my daughter told me about her thoughts as her little child stood on the school playground. Things that you want to say to them as you watch them take there firsts in life. Things that you would like to remind them of and help them with, but all you can do is silently watch as they walk away …….alone………. without your hand…….

This past week has truly been a blessing to me. I have had so many wonderful comments  and such a great response to this giveaway. I truly am blessed to have gotten to know so many nice people here in the blogging world. I truly appreciate each and every one of you!!

Business gets busy this time of year. There is so much to do as we spruce up out homes and get things in order for the coming months. We have been busy with lots of custom orders. We just love to create new things for people, something to fill in the gap that nothing else can fill.

If you see anything that you have questions about please email me. Most of our items are listed on etsy or on my Facebook page which you can find HERE. I know I have had several people ask about custom signs, and family names, etc. Now is the time to plan ahead for Christmas if you are looking for a custom item. How nice would it be to be able to give Grandma her favorite verse on a sign to hang in her home in a color that goes with her d├ęcor. The mother in law that is always hard to buy for. You get the idea.

Now onto the giveaway~~ YES! The whole reason that you are here today. First I want to thank everyone that entered and shared my info with people. I appreciate it and I wish I could give everyone a gift!

I did this the good ole fashioned way! That is why I am a little late with this post. I had to check everyone that shared on fb, on their  blog, twitter, (wow, this technology). Count it all up, extra chances, put them in a hat………….so here goes……..

The winner of this giveaway is   Sandi @ The Primitive Skate     ~     Please email me so I can  get your info! If I don’t hear back in 48 hours, I will pick a new winner. Thank you all for entering and for your sweet comments.

I have had so many requests for this tree. I haven’t even listed it yet and I have already sold one. I am only going to have a few more to sell, so if anyone is interested please email me so I can plan and set one aside for you.  I am going to offer them here before I list them anywhere else. I have several sights in which I sell, but I wanted to give you all a chance first. I will be offering it as a package, the tree with the acorns and in a stenciled box. (Each box will be different).This is such a great display that could be used now up until and through Christmas and also to the end of Winter. The box will be something that you could use all year long as well.

Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That's because they were able to connect experiences they've had and synthesize new things.

If you have read this to the end and been so faithful, I am going to give you  an extra chance to win something. I have two more items(surprises) that I am also giving to my faithful followers. All that you have to do is comment that you have read this whole post and would love to entered again. Tomorrow evening I will pick two different people from the comments here and send out a little something. I have been so blessed, I would like to give a little something back. Thank you all so much!!!

Everything Has Its Time~

Summer is coming to an end. Children are going back to school, the gardens are showing signs of winding down, the days are getting shorter, and the mornings are cool. And such is life…….

To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

2 A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
7 A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
8 A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Have a wonderful Sunday

Harvest Moon~

Just checking in! We have been so busy the past few weeks with custom orders, and orders for all of the new creations we have been designing. I just want to take a moment and thank everyone for the nicest comments. You really are special people and I appreciate your friendship and thoughtfulness. I have been visiting blogs, but haven’t had much time to comment. But please know that I have been keeping your prayer requests on my list.

Life in all areas has been just a little hectic. We have been spending time with our grandchildren as well. Our grandson had a birthday. He is three years old already. (of course I have to share pictures once in a while). He has the most adorable clothes. Our daughters love to dress their children.

Our oldest granddaughter starts kindergarten this week, wow, where does the time go??!!

Our oldest daughter is expecting our fourth grandchild in just a couple of weeks. The heat here has been really bothering her. The temps all week have been around 111-114. Please keep her in your prayers.

Is it Fall yet ???Give away and some new creations

Fall will be here before you know it. I am not trying to rush it, just trying to be prepared. As fall approaches, the children go back to school, the weather gets a little cooler(ok in some areas of the country), and we are spending more time indoors. With that being said, we start thinking about getting our homes in order. We start getting things organized, tweak things a little, do a little baking and start thinking about fall and ……the Holidays.

Well I wanted to share a few of the things that I have been working on lately~

A few fall signs~

We Gather Together

adorable little cubby in mustard over red with a red(over black) inside~ Don’t you love the colors together?! It also has square nails, and is just the size to hold two mason jars.(or the goodies that I have in it)

This is a cute little prim box that is just the size to hold a box of k-cups for your Keurig. It would be great sitting next to your coffee maker to keep things organized and handy.

And speaking of coffee makers, here is a coffee maker cover. Designed to fit most coffee makers, and to look like a prim little cabinet. It is 17” high and is prim red. Also in this pic is my little prim recipe card holder, small table riser, Harvest sign,(did you see the little feet that I have designed to hold signs?), the little bread board with a rawhide hanger(we had one just like this when I was growing up, that was only used for cutting bread). All of these items are our own designs, we don’t use anyone else's  patterns, they are all hand designed and lots of things are one of a kind.

PANTRY sign~ 8”x20” in any color you would like (we specialize in custom orders, I have several pics of special order and custom items on my Facebook page salmonfallsprims cocarus)

What not box~ keeps things organized on the counter

Candle box in a dark green

pumpkin with crow for your  door~

or a simple crow on a fence~ Love this!

………..even a little Christmas~

Ok………. if you see anything that you think you “need”  you can email me or you can visit my etsy shop here, or you can see more on facebook and message me there. Find me on Facebook and friend me there.

Now onto the giveaway. What you see below is what is included in my giveaway.

~this mustard over red kitchen cubby~ included is the grubby jar, the little bread board, the grubby tea light, the 3 soy acorns and the fabric squares(Family Heirloom Weavers square).

All you need to do is leave a comment here on this post telling me you would like to be entered and you will be included in the giveaway.

If you would like more chances you will receive 5 more for sharing on your sidebar, you will receive 10 extra chances if you share a post about it including some of my new creations, and you will receive 5 more if you share my fall 2012 album from facebook on your facebook. This giveaway will end Thursday August 23rd at midnight and the winner will be announced on Friday the 24th.

Good luck!

Have a great week!
