Lemon Pound Cake

"Beautiful Mother's Day Lemon Pound Cake" ~looks so beautiful after adding strawberries.

~ I mentioned in an earlier blog that I was trying a new recipe for lemon pound cake. As I stated before I have several family favorite recipes that I usually stick with, but I thought that this particular cake sounded like it would be wonderful with strawberries for Mother's Day! So my son and I attempted this new cake and we have come to realize why I stick to the favorites. It was totally delicious, but didn't seem to cooperate - it kinda got stuck in the pan. I have a few pictures to share of that wonderful cake. It didn't look very well... until I had an idea...I wanted the cake with I thought fill the center with berries and no one will be the wiser!! The cake truly was amazing, it has lemon zest, lemon extract and lemon juice. So yummy especially with strawberries and fresh whipped cream. ~So delightful for our Mother's Day dessert!!~ Enjoy~ Sara
