Every little girl wants to be a princess…….it isn’t something that we have to teach them. It comes from inside, it is who they are. It is what makes them ….well …. girls.
They want to dress up, and put on fancy clothes and jewelry. They want to be pretty and they want to be like their mommy. They want to “pretend” to be mommy and care for their “babies”. To tuck them in at night and to dress them in pretty clothes.
Well all little girls need a bed for their baby. Somewhere to keep her “tucked in at night” while they are asleep. Somewhere “pretty” and comfy. With all of the comforts that their own bed has.
Someplace to hold all of the dolls clothing and accessories. Someplace that is beautiful inside as well as outside.
Well this is what we have created. An Armoire and a beautiful comfy bed all designed to accommodate an 18 inch doll. (American Girl Doll). This set is “pretty in Pink”, all decked out in lace, pink, flowers, you know, all of the things that little girls “love”!. The Armoire is aprox 22”high and about 14'” wide, it has two hinged doors and has plenty of room inside to store all of the little clothing, shoes, hats (and also extra pillows for the bed as my granddaughter did. I guess she thought that there were too many on the bed.LOL ). Also when you open the door, Cinderella is there to greet you.This bed has lace around the bottom as a dust ruffle, a large pillow mattress, a comforter and several pillows( all hand sewn).
The next bedroom set is going to be a little less pink. I am going to design one a little more primitive looking to go with my décor so when the grandchildren come to visit they will have something to play with. And maybe when the grandchildren aren’t here I will be able to “play “a little and keep some of my dollies on the bed.

Speaking of Princesses ~ I wanted to share with you my granddaughters 4th Birthday Party. Of course it was a princess party and it was at a park near us. It was a beautiful day. the sun was shining, there was a nice breeze when we arrived, it was on the river and such a nice place to be. There was a nice little play area for the children and lots of shade for the adults. We had pizza and fruit, princess cake and ice cream, walked by the water played on the slide and of course Grandma took “LOTS” of pictures!! I won’t bore you with all of the pictures(I think my son said I took somewhere around 80 pics. lol)
