Christmas time, Winners……

 

I love Christmas!  Simply put, just everything about it!  I like hearing from old and new friends, in person and through Christmas cards. I like to know that they are doing well or if they need to be lifted up in prayer. This  is a  card from my brother and sister-in-law from North Carolina. The picture is so serene and reminds me of days back in NH at Christmas time.

        Christmastime is sure to find me

on a high snow-covered hill,

Where an old farmhouse is standing weather-tight and sturdy still

There the plumes of smoke ascending from the Chimneys low and wide

they’re a silent invitation to the glowing fires inside.

Where the warm sweet air is laden with fragrance that combines

The pleasant smells of cookery and the spicy scent of pines.
