I wanted to share a few more pics of Christmas and savor a few of my favorite things.
This is a little letter to Santa pillow that I “stitched” (not one of my strong suits)
Christmas is over and the busyness has lightened up. Now is the time to take a few days and enjoy the efforts of our labors. Many people take everything down the day after Christmas, not me. It has taken so long to get things decorated, shopping done, packages wrapped baking etc.
Now is the time for me to relax and take a breather and savor the season. Santa was really good to me this year and I received a new camera. I am trying to figure it out( more technology to keep up on.) I decided to go around the house and take a few more pics of things and give it a try.
My little gingerbread light from Donna
Here is Noah’s Ark that we made for our Grandson Isaiah, I think he will have a fun time it. We made a couple of doll cradles for the girls but didn’t get pictures. hhhmmmmm how did that happen??!!
one of my favorite Santa's
I like the “winter look” with the chickadee and the pine……
Winter is aglow on the chimney cabinet…(this may stay out a while) I just don’t want to put everything away yet
I love this mitten cabinet, (although we don’t need to war mittens here in Cali. lol) one of our newest creations with square pegs.
Santa sits upon a cranberry scoop that we made years ago.
The Christmas season is so magical and fun. It brings out the child inside of you.
These are a few of my favorite pottery pieces and lots of things that I made in ceramics years ago (great memories)
screen door and snowman
snowman cookie jar
~Nativity pieces that I hand painted, (years ago)- I gave them a new “barn” this year and brought some new life to them. And then I added all of the other lighted houses that I pulled from all of the shelves around the house to add a village to the display.

~Looks like Santa can take a break now and relax~
~and I can take time and enjoy some grandchildren time. This is Sophia with Grandma reading and doing stickers, she is so sweet~

and below is my son Micah with his new “girl” Leigh. She is adorable and loves Christmas just like the rest of us girls! I think she will fit right in.
Thank you for stopping by. I have to say that I have truly enjoyed “visiting” everyone's blog this year and seeing all of the beautifully decorated homes. There are so many talented people with lots of inspiration, and ideas to share. Hopefully you are taking time to savor the season! Was Santa good to you??!!! I sure hope so.
Blessings to you and your family. ~Sara

What wonderful primitive decor! I still love primitives even though I have switched most of my decor to French Country.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new camera!

How wonderful that you had such a nice Christmas, Sara. And yippee about the new camera; isn't it fun?
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on savoring the season after Christmas Day...I put off taking down the tree until a couple of weeks after Christmas. It's a lot of work to put it up; why in the world would I want to take it down so quickly? Plus the kitties love snoozing under it, so they're my excuse and I'm sticking to it. ;o)
Hugs,
Pam
You have so many beautiful things. Did I spot a mini punched tin lantern? Oooh...
ReplyDeleteThe Noah's Ark is so nice, I collect them and I
can appreciate the work that you put into your
grandson's.
All of your decorations are so beautiful. I especially love the Noah's Ark.
