Things are growing ……….
………..with lots of water~ it takes quite a while to get everything watered everyday. It has been so dry here.
Some of the benefits~

More birthday celebrations~
our adorable grandson Isaiah is 4 today! Hard to believe, the times goes so fast.
(Or son in law (in the background) also celebrated a birthday this week. NO PARTY! We just went over for cake )
They had Isaiah’s birthday party at the park on the Sacramento River. There is a nice view there but the water is so swift you can not swim there. The temp was around 106 that day, very warm!!! The children had spray bottles that they kept filling with water and were spraying around. With the mist from those water bottles and a little breeze, it made the party quite nice. We were so concerned about the heat. This is the time of year that we gear up for~ and need to make sure we have AC wherever we go.

A little trip down the road~
The Shasta Dam~
The Shasta Dam is just a few miles down the road. This is where both of our son in laws work. All of the dams in this area are controlled by the government and are used to control water flow to the southern part of the state as well as produce hydro-electric power for the state. There is so much educational information as well as beautiful scenery here. I will continue this as a separate post as I have many pics of the wildlife and scenery to share with you. Be looking later in the week for the rest of the pics.
Hope summer is going well for you all. Blessings~Sara
