September~ The football season has begun, the baseball season is winding down and we begin to think ahead~ the holidays are coming, and we start thinking and planning for winter. We have enjoyed watching the Red Sox, we don’t always get to watch being on the opposite coast, but since they are doing well they are on here a little more than usual.
We celebrated another September 11th~ a somber day to reflect on life.

We are also in the midst of fire season here in California. We heard of a fire last Monday and within an hour or so it had grown to 500 acres. It grew to over 8,000 acres in a few days. It was about 20 miles from us and 10 miles from our daughters new home.
The fire, which started on Sept. 9, killed one person, injured six, destroyed 68 homes and 128 outbuildings and damaged five homes and 10 outbuildings. As of today the fire is 100 percent contained! Yeah! ~BUT................. so many people have lost everything! Our church will be open for the next few Saturdays to give away clothes from our clothing pantry. They are looking for donations of ANYTHING AT ALL, clothing, new bedding, etc. Some have lost all that they had. There are so many needs in this world.

We also have had a few birthday parties here~
Our little granddaughter Ashlyn had her first birthday party. Our daughter and son in law have just moved into their new home as well.
They have been busy painting the whole house (inside) as well as the kitchen cabinets and getting the yard in order.
Her party was a ladybug theme and everything was so cute.
I think she liked the little table and chairs that we made for her. Just her size!

And more birthday parties~ Our oldest granddaughter also celebrated a birthday.
This was a princess themed party. Oh the girly things~so fun!
Little Ashlyn was just like one of the kids~they grow so fast.
I think she liked the mini American girl doll and also the mini bunk bed that we made her for it. Girls are so fun.
And then on her birthday~ a girls day outing to get their nails done. Mothers and daughters in their chairs~ making memories.
